Topps Tiles invests more than £300,000 in new Bilston store

Topps Tiles has opened a new store in Bilston following a major investment of more than £300,000, transforming a former Tile Choice premises into a flagship location that will help shape the future of its store network.

The company chose Bilston for the investment because of its strong links to the tiling industry and the opportunity to bring a former tile showroom back into use. The new store employs five people, including two team members who previously worked at the former Tile Choice branch.

Rob Myers, Area Sales Manager at Topps Tiles said: “We’re delighted to be opening our doors in Bilston and investing in an area with such strong links to the tiling industry.

“It’s fantastic to bring this site back into use and create a showroom that serves both local homeowners and tradespeople. We’ve completely transformed the space and we’re proud that Bilston has been chosen as a flagship store for several new concepts and product ranges that could shape the future of Topps Tiles stores across the country.”

Following a significant renovation, the store will also serve as a testing hub for new products, displays and customer experiences that could be rolled out across the wider Topps Tiles estate.

The property features more than 5,200 sq ft of showroom space within a site spanning over 10,400 sq ft, including warehouse and operational areas. As well as offering Topps Tiles’ extensive range of tiles and tiling products, the showroom showcases the company’s growing category expansion ranges, including acoustic wall panels, shower panels, outdoor tiles and flooring solutions. It will also be the first location to showcase Topps Tiles’ new Luxury Click Flooring collection ahead of its rollout to a further 29 stores across the UK later this summer.

The Bilston showroom also features a new look Trade Zone, designed to make life easier for professional tilers and installers. The space includes tools, adhesives, grouts and other essentials, while a new display concept with improved product zoning and perimeter displays has been introduced to create a more intuitive shopping experience for customers.

Sustainability was a key consideration throughout the refurbishment, with a significant amount of equipment and materials reused from existing Topps Tiles stores and saved stock, including shelving, display stands, lighting, warehouse equipment, timber and external cladding. Reusing these materials helped reduce waste while giving existing assets a second life.

The new Topps Tiles Bilston store is now open and welcomes both trade and retail customers.
